Underwater Mail!

Welcome to the story about your life of mail... In the water? Yeah, you read it: mail delivery under the water! You are currently a Mer, trying to gain money for you and someone else. Try not to worry too hard about your decisions and enjoy! [[Begin]]

From the surface of the Tasman Ocean, you look to the empty beach and are glad you started early. Better to not be caught by those disgusting humans. "Boss man is such a good guy." You thought, remembering the safety policy he announced about keeping the surface creatures safe. This is why you could comfortably be at the surface now, because you started earlier. Right now you needed to go to the office to get started, but you also needed to bid your husband goodbye. Which one do you do first? [[Bid husband goodbye]] [[Go to the office]]

You enter the small house among a coral reef, spotting your dear husband sipping some seaweed soup. Quickly, you plant a kiss on his cheek and leave, hearing him let out a small and hearty laugh as you did. [[Go to the post office]]

You go straight to the office, knowing your husband would forgive you for not giving you a kiss like you usually did. Sometimes you just wanted to go straight to work, and it'd be hypocritical if he didn't because he did the exact same thing. Swiftly, you swam through the doors, noticing two people. Carefully, you swam up to Boss Man, tapping him on the shoulder gently. [["Hey, Boss, how is life treating you?"]]

"Mai! There you are," Boss Man started talking, instantly getting you interested by his constant positive attitude. "I don't know if you've heard the news, but something is going on... I'd recommend talking with Leaf since she knows all the details." [[Talk with Leaf]]

"So, it's the Boss's assistant's birthday! And he's giving people who give them gifts extra pay; isn't that sweet? We get more money, AND the assistant gets gifts!" Leaf seemed extremely happy to be getting extra if the assistant was given gifts. You wondered why Leaf knew all the details and why Boss Man couldn't tell you about his own event, but oh well. "Yes- well, no? That's up for you to decide, but I personally don't think it is." [["Well, wassup?]]

The office was its usual peacefulness compared to your chaotic desk. An organised chaos, but still a type. The table was covered in bright stickers held down by a sticky seaweed found in deep waters. You really appreciated the merchant that came around weekly, but you did wonder how that old fish managed to collect and carry such heavy or far-away-origin things in such a short time. It was almost like it just spawned there. You shook your head, trying to not think about it too much. You spot your trusty bag, already filled with mail to deliver, although some were also for you or later in the week. No clue why Boss Man did that, but it was helpful. Actually, how does that work? Sitting on a chair made from drift logs, you search for the mail that is for you today. It took a minute of looking, but once you did find them, it was just bills and a very insulting—in a playful way—letter from your cousin way down. Turning around slowly, you force a nervous smile. "Hey, uh, how are you?" You greet nervously with a small wave. "I'm doing wonderful now that you're here~," the flirty lady replied, invading your personal space. "I have a gift for you!" Her fins waved around; only now do you notice she was a freaking shark. She went inside, and not even five seconds later, she returned with a pretty pink bow. "For being the only person who's asked me how I am today." Well, that was just depressing... [["Thanks!" The lady smiles, and you smile back, feeling slightly less awkward than earlier. You bid each other a bye and go your separate ways. You smile with pride, realizing that Boss Man was blushing and looking at his assistant. In a nonchalant way, you glanced between them. [[Give him a knowng look]] [[Retrieve your sand dollars]]

"Whats with that look?" You jump from the look he gave back at you. You smile awkwardly, glancing away. "... I'll talk to you about it tomorrow, go get your money and rest." [[Retrieve your sand dollars]]

You watch Boss Man place more sand dollars on your desk. After he did so, he went to the same office his assistant had. You could feel some sort of tension between them, but you didn't want to be in an "acquaintances to lovers" fanfic, so you took your sand dollars and left for home.
